Details: For sale is a 1994 Nissan 300zx Coupe with just under 153,000 miles for $5200. I will consider reasonable offers. I purchased the car in 2003 with around 78,000 miles. Almost everything is either original or an oem Nissan replacement part. It is a fun, reliable daily driver. I was driving it back and forth to Birmingham with no problems up until I bought my new vehicle. Mechanically, it´s about as good as Z´s get. Cosmetically, there are some projects that have been on my list, but never bothered me enough to worry with. I always worry about aftermarket junk on vehicles like this. The only mechanical alteration is the addition of camber adjusting tension rods in the front suspension. The cars didn´t come from the factory with any adjustment for camber. The bars fix that. My priority with this Z was always to maintain reliability and performance. If you´re looking for a reliable daily driver, that also happens to be incredibly fun to drive, this is it. If you´re looking for a cheap, riced out pile of mismatched, low-quality aftermarket parts, this one´s not for you.Information and Options:3.0L V6, non-turbo 5speed manual transmissionTires have ~80% of treadPower steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, cloth seats, cruiseGreat air conditioningRemovable t-tops that do not leak, including leather covers for stowing in the trunkAftermarket stereo, professionally installed, including all speakers, 10in subwoofer, and amp mounted under the passenger seatCondition:- All major maintenance performed at 145,000 including timing belt, tensioner, drive belts, water pump, thermostat, cam seals, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs. - Radiator replaced about a 1000 miles ago along with both temp sensors. Hoses in good shape. - Valve cover seals have a slow leak. Rear main has a very slow leak. I add less than 1/2 qt oil between oil changes. There is also a slow power steering fluid leak. I just top it off at oil changes.- Crank angle sensor and mass airflow sensor have both been replaced in the last 7000 miles. - Diehl Nissan recently did a full inspection. The paperwork shows that everything checked out, but they recommended changing shifter bearings. They´re a little loose, but it doesn´t both me. - Clutch pedal squeaks from wear on a connecting pin. Its perfectly safe, but when it squeaks when its humid outside.- On cold winter mornings a bearing somewhere gets too tight and whines until warm. I had it checked a few years ago and they said not to worry about. It will surprise you though if you´re not ready for it.- Front bumper was broken by the state emissions inspectors in Texas. Bumper looks pretty bad. A replacement from Nissan is about $500. Non-Nissan bumpers are less. - Paint shows its age. Normal chips and wear. It´s never been wrecked since I´ve had it, but I don´t have a full history prior to 78,000 miles when I bought it. Email me to request more pictures. Craigslist only allows the 4 small ones. We purchased a 525i to replace this one for my son to go off to school. My wife says this one needs to go. The bad is fuel sending unit needs to be replaced. The odometer quit working (211000 miles. typical for these cars) so the exact mileage is unknown. The passenger window does not function (i have not diagnosed(switch or regulator)). The AC has not been hooked up since I have owned the car. It does not have a belt on it so I do not know the extent of the repair (expect the worst and hope for the best). Interior is tired but has seat covers and the dash has a couple of cracks, needs the hood emblem. Has hail damage from last stormTHANKS. The interior had also been modified with half cloth-half alcantara sports seats (optional upgrade to leather), an alcantara-wrapped sports steering wheel, anthracite colored cloth headliner, and aluminum ´cubed´ faux-carbon fiber interior trim (available in silver or black). The instrument gauge cluster was also modified with red needles and polished metal trim rings. In the performance department, the ZHP was equipped with the more aggressive DME tune to increase power from 225 hp (168 kW) to 235 hp (175 kW).[18] The engine redline raised from 6,500 rpm to 6,800 rpm to take advantage of the new power band and higher power output at higher RPMs.[19] As a result of the higher redline, the nut that fastens the oil pump´s sprocket came with threadlocker pre-applied from the factory to keep the nut from falling off. The car also received a shorter final drive ratio which allows for faster acceleration; 3.64 vs. 3.38 for the automatic. Car and Driver magazine track-tested the car, which returned a 0-60 mph time of 5.6 seconds and passed through the 1/4 mile in 14.3 seconds. Suspension was modified over the standard suspension with firmer springs and dampers, larger anti-roll bars, stronger front control arm ball joints, a lower ride height, and slightly more negative camber.[19] The Style 135M wheels also came equipped with the much stickier compound, Michelin Pilot Sport tires, in a staggered configuration with 225/40-18 tires in the front and 255/35-18 tires in the back.The sport package was available on all E46´s, excluding cars with the Performance package and the M3. It consisted of a three spoke sports leather steering wheel and had improved grip over the standard ´square´ steering wheel. The car was also given sport seats which provided better bolstering and support than the stock seats. They also had adjustable thigh supports and were available in manual or power. The sports package also offered 17-inch wheels standard, which came with staggered lower profile tires. Rear-wheel-drive models ordered with the Sport package also received sport suspension, which offered improved handling by way of firmer springs, a lower ride height, and tighter dampers. Everything works great including engine, transmission and 4x4 system. The 4wd was engaged every couple of months to ensure proper lubrication. The engine has full synthetic oil that has been changed every 5,000 miles. Fuel mileage is 19mpg city driving and 24mpg highway. These numbers are hand calculated at every fill up. It has Michelin LTX/MS tires that have more than 50% of life left. The interior is cloth with stock CD player.
